previously announced date of nov 7 student body demonstrates poor spirit of total enrollment only 15 per cent came to pre-game pep rally by jack lyons the lehigh football team and the band were well represented at the pre-game pep rally friday night at grace hall the cheer leaders and the entire coaching staff were there too all that was missing was a student body about 400 students turned out for what was one of the most stir ring exhibitions of school spirit seen this year considering the fact that only 15 per cent of the total undergraduate enrollment had to do all the cheering paul franz assistant director of admissions did the fronting and introduced the speakers at one point he stressed that the rally could mark the eve of the most glorious victory of the season for lehigh and well it might have but for the lack of backing the team received from its folowers sunny edwards speaks the chief reason for the amaz ing display of spirit by those pres ent was the talk by sonny ed wards 13 one of lehigh's all time cheerleading greats mr ed wards remarked that the small at tendance at the pep rally prior to a lehigh-muhlenberg football game was shameful he stressed the point that it was time lehigh started thinking in terms of win ning instead of losing if lehigh had the winning spirit he said there wouldn't be standing room in grace hall tonight other speakers were coach leckonby and team members russ jones and bill heck notable among those absent from the audi ence were a number of those who have been yelling the loudest about our poor football team their presence on friday might have made the difference on sat urday a remarkable feature of friday night's affair was the large num ber of student wives present it sounds like a good idea to encour age this at the rate things are going by next year the wives may be the only ones to show up at pep rallies engineers society protects non-existent marine life brown and white survey tells mr learns mrs earns represented at the pre-game pep rally friday night at grace hall the cheer leaders and the entire coaching staff were there too all that was missing was a student body about 400 students turned out for what was one of the most stir ring exhibitions of school spirit seen this year considering the fact that only 15 per cent of the total undergraduate enrollment had to do all the cheering paul franz assistant director of admissions did the fronting and introduced the speakers at one point he stressed that the rally could mark the eve of the most glorious victory of the season for lehigh and well it might have but for the lack of backing the team received from its folowers sunny edwards speaks the chief reason for the amaz ing display of spirit by those pres ent was the talk by sonny ed wards 13 one of lehigh's all time cheerleading greats mr ed wards remarked that the small at tendance at the pep rally prior to a lehigh-muhlenberg football game was shameful he stressed the point that it was time lehigh started thinking in terms of win ning instead of losing if lehigh had the winning spirit he said there wouldn't be standing room in grace hall tonight other speakers were coach leckonby and team members russ jones and bill heck notable among those absent from the audi ence were a number of those who have been yelling the loudest about our poor football team their presence on friday might have made the difference on sat urday a remarkable feature of friday night's affair was the large num ber of student wives present it sounds like a good idea to encour age this at the
