shouldn't be blamed for the country's economic sys tem as the problem lies in capi talism itself moore said his answer to the problem was a three-year quest to find roger smith ceo of general motors co inc and to show him what was happen ing at his home town of flint mich his quest was the topic of his documentary roger and me in the serious economic situ ation that we are facing moore said there really is no better time to try to get the people together to fight the enemy not the real enemy the enemy poli ticians concoct for us moore said there are many dying industrial towns just like flint in making his documen tary he wanted people to have a real sense of what is happening if we let them laugh a bit for an hour and a half and leave there feeling somewhat angry moore said i felt that was the healthy therapudic thing to give people who are possibly losing jobs themselves moore also finds irony in time/warner's distribution of roger and me i think it's one of the won derful ironies of capitalism moore said where the largest media corporation in the world would distribute an anti-corpo rate film simply because they believed they would make money at it moore's movie was made for
