diffraction and other areas of physical metallurgy david b williams chairman of the department and a colleague of kraft's from 1976 to 1989 said kraft was highly respected as well as very well-known meet with the interfratemity council to discuss how fraternities and police can work to gether more effectively we really encourage students to report any event that takes place so that we can respond more quickly smeaton said many students feel there is not much being done to prevent non rumors about a fight at zeta psi fraternity which occurred last saturday night still persist and have yet to be supported with substantial evidence apparently non-lehigh students tried to enter a zeta psi fraternity party and were denied entry because they did not posses lehigh univer sity identification stories by witnesses vary but it seems at this point a fight between the non-students and a lehigh stu dent broke out and escalated to in clude several lehigh students from various fraternities zeta psi president scott rosander said they suspects were trying to get into the party and someone started throwing punches and the fight ended up down the street as the fight developed the suspects were out-numbered by lehigh students and they eventually walked away once the fight broke out they were in over their head rosander said although there is no police report about the fight according to john smeaton assistant vice president of student affairs there were two re ported injuries on saturday night there is a report of one student taken to the hospital with a broken nose who is now recovering at home a freshman also reported an inci dent on saturday night in which what appeared to be non-students yelled at the student and pushed him down questions have also been raised about police support rosander said that he did not call police because he had an instinctive reaction to see what happened in the fight and was students from entering the campus lambda chi president anthony franchina said they come out on the hill with packs of 1 0 or 1 5 who goes out on the hill with that many people they're just looking for trouble although there is an ongoing in vestigation lehigh police will not give out any information about the fight or any suspects one zeta psi brother met with the bethlehem po lice and gave a description of those involved rosander said lehigh po lice are carrying on the
