many students and campus leaders such cynical speculations are unsubstantiated this semester the interfraternity council implemented four byob weekends forcing every fraternity to host two parties under the forthcoming regulations the results both on the hill and off show little sign of a decline in must pass before the senate the appeals committee handles all appeals of disciplinary cases and is currently made up of five faculty members four of which make a quorum next year the panel has been extended to seven total with two students and a five-person quorum the only proposal that didn't pass was rearranging the ucod organization to give students a simple majority the proposal would have changed ucod to a panel of four students two fac ulty and one administrator the whole goal of this is to move toward some form of the honor code said ken hoexter 93,president of senate it doesn't seem really important because you don't see it everyday but the en tire process took a lot of prepara proposals monday lobbied by the student senate concerning procedures on the disciplinary process the statue of limitations on offenses will be extended from one year to a student's entire aca demic career a defendant in a disciplinary hearing has been allowed to bring someone along for support during the proceedings although the victim of these offenses has gone before the university commis sion on discipline alone victims are now allowed to bring one person with them for support deemed a university friend the ucod is made up of two students two faculty and one member of the administration the two students have been ap pointed by the office of student life in past years now the slate faculty pass senate bills alter discipline process proposals mark move to honor code by deborah schwartz assistant news editor did you ever go to the mall throw a coin into one of the foun tains and make a wish did you ever wonder where that money goes this week lehigh university became the lucky group that was chosen to receive these coins from the lehigh valley mall in whitehall the money will go to ward bringing the names project aids memorial quilt to lehigh in february also money will be given to three local groups aids out reach aids service center and latino aids outreach i was happy to hear that the money was going to filter down directly to the patients who need it said elda chiarella co-chair woman for the memorial quilt project the money arrived on friday in three overflowing five-pound buckets the coins then had to be cleaned of debris such as gum rings and tokens and dried before it could be taken to the bank to be counted i had no idea how much work it would be to get the coins in good shape chiarella said the lehigh valley aids quilt coming to lehigh mall's donation
