professor richardson dies manufacturing management richardson was the chairman of the board of the newman association chairman of the university's commit tee on educational policy and a mem ber of forum he was named a fellow of the american institute of industrial engineers in 1967 richardson wrote cost improve ment work sampling and short-interv al scheduling and co-authored work sampling a graduate of the naval postgrad uate school in annapolis md richardson received a master's deg ree in industrial engineering from purdue university in 1949 he is survived by his wife caroline willis richardson three daughters a brother and three grandchildren omr photo professor emeritus wallace richardson taught at lehigh for 36 years students plan pro-choice trip see rallypage 2 the issue originated in missouri where a 1986 statute banned abortions in hospitals and other public facilities unless the wom an's life was endangered two abortion clinics reproductive health services of st louis and planned parenthood of kansas city challenged the statute in 1987 a federal district court ruled the missouri statute was an unconstitutional infringe ment of sections of roe vs wade attorney general william webster brought the case before the supreme court after the decision was upheld in the u.s circuit court of appeals in july 1987 it's more than a women's issue said pyne an even number of pro-choice men and women will fill the bus and van going to washington she said pyne and ragland put up posters mailed information and phoned lehigh students to gain support for their side of the issue i was scared about doing this said pyne but after finding that other schools were send ing large numbers of students she and ragland were determined where's leh igh she said we should be represented due to the predominantly conservative trend among lehigh students pyne admit ted she was surprised they were able to fill one bus and a van in comparison though 120 buses from the boston area and nine b&w photo by jim kolberq taking advantage of unseasonably warm weather to extend spring break just a little further are from left to right john vlamis 89 chris nason 91 ;
