last week it was distinctly more grati fying than last year's election in which less than 25 percent of the eligible voters took part the ar cadia committee in charge of elec tions has pronounced the unique voting procedure used this year for the first time a success it will probably be continued for the du ration the members-elect automatical ly receive chairs on the new ar cadia which was formed last night for the coming year they will administer the usual activities of all the classes and dispose of the funds as normally as possible the confusion which would normally have arisen out of separate class organizations and their accelerated groups will thus be avoided the tenure of office of the committee will be two semesters mustard and cheese's bottoms up was a good show as a whole excellent in spots corny only occasionally flat a few times but defin itely worth seeing with more skillful cutting in places more punch in dialogue in some scenes and a general height ening of stage-repartee the pro duction would have achieved pro fessional status off to a rather slow start bot toms up hit its best musical note in heaven only knows a song good enough for anybody's band the drill-scene with fritz yon bergen taking off private breger in pantomime drew a good audi ence response high spots of the evening's en tertainment came in scene 1 the russian uso benefit skits mcd by warren milch whose blase dead-pan announcing was subtly done in the siberian scene the uk ranian blues featuring moisha petrouskavitch and his four borsch beets was one of the bright spots of the 8:15 p m friday night the trapp family singers have performed in over 600 concerts all over europe and the united states they have sung before king george and queen mary of eng land and have been cited by the new york times for their note worthy blending of tone perfect pitch their secure and persuasive rhythm the trapp family's appearance here will be the last of the stu dent concerts-lectures features for this semester it is a bonus to lehigh students — and students will be admitted by bringing punched-out athletic cards towns people and dates will pay 55 cents epsilon
