brockway suggested that it's very easy to start a law school without a sub stantial expenditure of money ... if all of us agree that a law school is desirable there is certainly the possibility and very viable of starting a law school with minimal expense brockway said he could come up with a plan where using existing facilities a law school could be started for as little as 200,000 and if revenue from tuition was kept in trust he said the school could buy its own building within 10 years of the six law schools begun in this country this year four of them did not have a building he said provide the tenth signature the forum would then for mally reconsider the proposed calendar that they approved for next year . conway said the purpose of the caucus was to provide forum representatives with the opportunity to discover student and faculty feelings about the calendar and on that basis decide whether or not to call a special forum meeting to reconsider the issue the meeting was attended by 26 students half of them were forum representatives or students from jour nalism and speech classes no faculty members attended the meeting mike maskaleris 75 a forum representative said the calendar had been railroaded through the forum he said the calendar was almost unanimously ac cepted because the meeting had run late into the dinner hour . people were hungry and tired maskaleris said he deplored this apparent lack of dedication on the part of forum representatives i don't think the forum should have the authority it does if this continues it's disgusting the way the forum goes slap-dash over things jeff bloom 76 said the calendar issue had received ample coverage in the brown & white and had been widely publicized three u students arrested in police drug raid in m&m three university student were arrested at 2:20 a.m yesterday in a raid by bethlehem police and state drug agents at m & m 8301 police said the three students picked up were michael r fault of u the college of business and economics has no minority groups or women represented on its faculty the college of engineering has no black instructors and few of any minority groups represented on its faculty and an almost identical situation exists in the college of arts and science and the school of education brian brockway dean of the college of business and economics said this is not due to a lack of effort by the university to hire minority members to the faculty conceding that no non-white has taught any business course since i have arrived at lehigh brockway added that no minority member has tried to get a job either the college of engineering has no black or puerto rican faculty members because there are too few black and puerto rican engineering graduates
