activities deal ing with environmental pollution for the national observance of berth day on april 22 scheduled are exhibits dis plays noted speakers t panel discussion and films on pollution in tht valley and nationwide among tht speakers wiu be dr maurice ocddard secretory of the state's depart ment of forests and water dr francis j trembley nationally known tcologist and professor of biology at lehigh paul petzoldt noted conservationist and out doorsman and mrs marguerite mood of quakertown prospective 1972 presidential candidate tht activities commence at 10 a.m on tht flagpole green at the university the public is urged to take part ln the day's activities the university has made provisions so that students may request that individual classes be canceled so that they may participate the morning program will include dis plays workshops snd talks by students with special familiarity in specific as pects of ecology and pollution such aa radioactivity and solid waste disposal this phase of tht day's events should be concluded by 12*30 p.m the problems involved with tht popu lation explosion will also bo considered plans rail for an exhibit and films on tha pollution and population situation one film on pollution was produced and di rected entirely by lehigh students these activities will be moved into grace hall in case of rain in recognition of earth day the lehigh university varsity band will hold its annual outdoor concert at 12*30 p.m on the lawn of packer memorial church in the event of rain the concert will be rescheduled for 7 p m thursday at the
