conference on oc tober 13 14 and 15 at lake mo hunk house ulster county new york to discuss the graduate re cord examinations sponsored last year by the foundation according to philip m palmer dean of the college of arts and science dean palmer and harold p thomas head of the department of education represented lehigh at the conference during the monday afternoon and evening sessions of the con ference a careful inquiry into the validity and usefulness of the grad uate examinations was made said palmer the general conclusion of the discussion was that the senior examinations are a valuable aid in determining a student's fitness for graduate work provided they are used as corraborative evidence in addition to the student's scholastic record his comprehensive examin ation and the recommendation of his teachers a history of tau beta pi nation al honorary engineering society is being completed by edwin s stackhouse 86 for the national association of tau beta pi pre-meds see operation performed at hospital the lehigh university chorus a new organization built around the university double quartet was formed as a result of a large turn out for the quartet tryouts held wednesday night according to willard a litzenberger arts 41 student glee club leader the chor us was formed as a result of the exceptionally fine talent and coop eration displayed at the tryouts laboratory on the construc tion of the baton rouge bridge in louisiana to the members of the student chapter of the american society of civil engineers mr durkee showed slides which gave details of
