orchestra most of whose members joined artie shaw's 22-piece group the first engagement of his new band will be in new haven conn where he opens on oct 9 the lehigh dance will be the third booking for the band second booking at lehigh this will be goodman's second visit to lehigh he played for spring houseparty in 1939 the personnel of the 16 piece orchestra which goodman will bring here has not been released by the music corporation of america the band's agent how ever it has been hinted that it will be composed of some of its former members who have shown desire to return as well as new additions it is not known if helen forrest who was formerly featured vocal ist with the band will return however fletcher henderson and eddie sauter arrangers who turned out many former goodman
