present for the picture which will be used in the 1940 epitome senior e e.'s take annual inspection trip in new york a new industrial research fel lowship in chemistry and chemical engineering was announced by a copeland callen dean of the col lege of engineering at a faculty meeting last monday afternoon in the faculty room of the alumni building the new fellowship is being established by the corn products refining corporation and investigation will be under the di rection of edwin r theis pro fessor of chemical engineering it was announced at the same meeting that the number of appli cations for admission in septem ber is 20 per cent higher at pres ent than at this same time last year the faculty voted that five games of freshman soccer with no more than three away would be permitted and that six games of freshman tennis with no more than four away would be allowed president clement c williams announced the completion of next year's budget and added that he regretted it department on the annual senior inspection trip held from march 20 to 23 inclusive after lunching as guests of the westinghouse company the group traveled to ampere n j where an inspection of the crocker wheeler manufacturing company was made in the evening a tour of radio city music hall was made the following day was spent vis iting the public service gas and electric company and the bayonne plant of the general cable corpor ation the american telephone and telegraph company was inspected and lunch eaten at the company cafeteria on friday in the after noon the steamship new amster dam one
