mustard and cheese credits and were voted in by majority of the members present at the meeting george s sprague chem 40 and norman hammer arts 40 were elected vice president and secretary respectively to serve for the rest of the year others on the executive council of which these two are now members are frank woodside bus 40 president chester c baldwin i e 40 treas urer and joseph l serrill e e 40 nathaniel j brisker bus 40 was also elected secretary emeri tus of mustard and cheese society new and old members of the so ciety will convene at a dinner meeting to be held at 6 p m to morrow at sigma nu fraternity house all freshmen who received grades of a in mathematics last semester and are thus eligible for membership are invited to attend the monthly meeting of the new tonian society honorary freshman mathematics club thursday even ing announced edwin f bodine m e 42 president of the club at this time the prospective members will become acquainted with the functions of the society bethlehem according to e robins morgan director of placement the first meeting was held on monday further information may be ob tained at the placement bureau in a statement mr morgan said seniors triana to dance during the past three months argentinita and her company have appeared before college audiences in 23 different states and spent one week touring the leading colleges and universities hockey game on friday ev ening at hershey have been made according to w rodman turner i e 40 manager of the lehigh hockey club a native of alberta canada miss mclachlan competed as an amateur in the principal winter carnivals of canada and western united states she was twice champion of the calgary skating tournament held the open pair skating waltzing and figure com petition titles for several years before she accepted a contract to become professional at the exclu sive glencoe club of canada while at glencoe she produced skating carnivals in addition to her instruction work during this time miss mclachlan had as her part ner jon jonsen who had emigrat ed to canada from the norwegian club where sonja heine skated during her career as an amateur produced ice revue her next engagement was as a professional for two years at the cannaught skating club in van couver the following year she was the sole producer of an ice show which was the forerunner of the ice follies she came east for her next position as professional at lake placid in addition to director of two national dance weeks last year she became professional at the hershey sports arena when bruce mapes and evelyn chand ler left to join the ice follies com pany arrangements for the appear ance of miss mclachlan were made by lloyd s blinco former captain of the hershey bears pro fessional hockey club in the inter kimball dean emeritus of the college of engin eering of cornell university who was to give an illustrated lecture friday afternoon in packard audi torium will be unable to be pres ent this announcement was made this morning by fred v larkin head of the department of mechan ical engineering professor larkin said that he had been notified that dr kimball was ill and would not be able to make the trip the lec ture which was entitled early bronze will be given at some la ter date the meeting of the mechanical engineering society which was to have been held in connection with the nounced yesterday state administrator aubrey williams said yesterday that the fund will give jobs to 6513 students in the state during the current ac ademic year at wages of 10 to 20 a month for
