professor knutson also predicted that facsimile as it continues to improve may prove invaluable for educational programs there are two systems now un dergoing field tests he explained one of these has been under study by professor knutson for more than a year and material is being received nightly in packard labor atory on sets operated under this system in cooperation with wor in regard to fading professor knutson said that the lehigh re search program on facsimile has observed two definite conditions these are first that about 50 per cent of the receptions during june july and august show considerable fading and that only about 10 per cent show appreciable fading dur ing the winter months and second that the higher the barometric pressure the less the disturbance due to fading a
