that it was rather strange that 11 of the 35 people spontaneously offered negative comments about minorities would mention antagonism toward puerto ricans i thought that this was important so i mentioned the fact and included two sentences about it in the executive summary he said blank said he hoped that the conclu sions would help overcome racial antag onism and concentrate on the landlord seven positions on forum vacant following turnover by doug grossinger the vacancies in forum xiv for five faculty and two students do not reflect participation but rather result from normal turnover in the university's government according to greg schulze director of intramu rals and forum xiv co-chairman schulze said that the present seven vacancies are far less than the number that had to be filled last year he noted that there were more than 20 empty faculty positions and approxi mately 10 vacant student spots according to schulze the majority of the faculty that resigned because of that was recom mended or an active faculty member from the college is selected outright to be a member of the forum the new changes for students involve selection from living groups rather than the proposal states each student in the college of arts and science must complete for gra duation at least one writing intensive course and receive writing certification in that course traister said that from across college lines among faculty last month the second draft of the doc ument was submitted to faculty staff and forum xiv for review results of ensuing discussions have been chan neled through deans and chairmen at today's meeting likins says he hopes to combine this material with the older input and present it to a special faculty committee which will study it this month then prepare it
