led the way into the lower field the inspec tion began in full swing several outsiders and students witnessed the performance as the companies passed in review before the inspec tors that bacon wrote officers of the so ciety mr becker who will become as sistant-professor of philosophy on september 1 is well-qualified to speak on his chosen subject for two years at the university of cal ifornia and for two additional years at the university of illinois mr becker was an instructor of philos ophy he then went to western reserve as an assistant professor of philosophy during these years he speacialized in political philosophy he has also maintained close rela tions with the law school at col umbia university where he lectured for one year on the same subject this year mr becker has again been selected to give the capacity test for lehigh students who wish to enter the columbia law school and he will give this test on may 11th the lecture which will serve as a climax of the society's work for the year will be an attraction not only for many lehigh students but also for many students from lafay ette and muhlenberg students who are studying law and sociology 200 students year turned just another game into glorious brown and white ath letic history by coming from behind to down the army 6-5 in eleven innings mort strauss silenced the west point infantry while the bats of bob harris and win miller spelled doom to the cadet pitching staff twice lehigh pulled the game out of the fire by the home run route and army's circuit clout in the tenth inning with a man on base made the cadets so sure of the victory that they started pack ing up their bats the bethlehem boys were in a hitting mood and made the going rough for stribling the cadet twirl er he retired after win miller lifted the ball over the fence in the eighth frame harris hits hard the home team sprung a surprise by shoving its murderer's row to the tail end of the batting order robert suitcase harris and the inspection the final rating of our school in military science will not be known until later the inspectors began their exam ination at 9 o'clock yesterday morn ing they first held a short con officers of the so ciety mr becker who will become as sistant-professor of philosophy on september 1 is well-qualified to speak on his chosen subject for two years at the university of cal ifornia and for two additional years at the university of illinois mr becker was an instructor of philos ophy he then went to western reserve as an assistant professor of philosophy during these years he speacialized in political philosophy he has also maintained close rela tions with the law school at col umbia university where he lectured for one year on the same subject this year mr becker has again been selected to give the capacity test for lehigh students who wish to enter the columbia law school and he will give this test on may 11th the lecture which will serve as a climax of the society's work for the year will be an attraction not only for many lehigh students but also for many students from lafay ette and muhlenberg students who are studying law and sociology 200 students
