brown and white team could not withstand the yale attack after the first half game not one-sided st ereoptican views manager graham represents le high intercollegiates to be held at u of p the annual meeting of the inter collegiate wrestling association was held at columbia university saturday afternoon representa tives were present from all of the five colleges which belong to the association ; namely cornell pennsylvania lehigh columbia and princeton lehigh was repre sented by 11 w graham 14 mi nor changes in the method of carry ing on dual and championship meets were made and provisional sched ules were drawn up for each team by a conference of the various man agers a representative from penha state was present but inas much as no formal petition had been submitted the possibility of admitting that college to the asso ciation was not considered plans were discussed for the intercolle giate meet which is to be held at the university of pennsylvania on march 27th and 23th which netted five and then green punted to cornish on the yale twenty-yard mark knowles re turned the kick directly to lehigh's thirty-five-yard line both the right and left lehigh halfbacks having failed against the yale line green punted to wilson who ran the kick back twelve yards then chenoweth made a fair catch of knowles's kick on the le high ten-yard line cornish ran the following lehigh kick back seven yards and knowles got seven more cornish made it first down against the line and ainsworth sped away around right end eleven yards to the lehigh fifteen-yard mark cornish got one more at center and knowles three at left tackle bailey stopped ainsworth on the next play and then knowles dropped back to the twenty-yard line to try for a goal from placement the kick was blocked by frank green but yale recovered the ball on the lehigh thirteen-yard line knowles immediately tore through left-tackle for three yards but ains worth failed flick was hurt in the play on a tackle shift showed stereopticon views illustrating the various duties of the seamen the battleship having the best discipline service and efficiency is known as the pride of the navy and flies a white flag with a black circle in the center a number of pictures were shown illustrating sports on ship board the hospital ships and meth ods of signaling to conclude the speaker discuss ed the question : is there any need of war " he stated that thousands of the ablest men of the country are required and millions of dollars are spent for the upkeep of our navy in order that we may keep up with the other powers of next friday at 11 a m in packer memorial chapel this is the lecture which was to be given last friday morning mr baynes was greatly chagrined when he arrived friday afternoon to find that the lecture was to be given in the morning instead of in the even ing since it was too late to ar range for having the lecture in the evening it was decided to have it as stated above mr baynes will probably showing wonderful improvement on the part of the yale team it defeated the brown and white eleven on saturday at new haven by the score of 37 to 0 the game was not as one-sided as the score indicates and unbiased witnesses who have seen every game which yale has played this year said that lehigh was the strongest team yale had met so far and during the first period when lehigh was fresh yale was able to score only once in fact the lehigh team periodically took braces and once within ten minutes of the end of the game when cornish had made a run to the five-yard line the lehigh line i raced : yale's four drives against it were ineffective and the ball was lost on downs yale invariably punted when the ball was in its territory and after getting the leather past midfield sweeping gains were made until the ball had crossed the goal-line five touchdowns and a goal kicked from placement were the scores captain flick had a nerve in his neck paralyzed during the hard scrimmage down near the lehigh goal line in the first period lie was attended at the field and later brought into new haven and then home lehigh men were knocked out pretty often but most of them gamely stuck the game out with a single exception saw t telle and creen the two lehigh ends both outshone the other members of the team bailey played a stel lar game for lehigh : he broke through the line on nearly every de fensive play and often threw the yale backs behind the line in a twenty-yard quarterback run for a first down chenoweth featured in the only spectacular play imrst period chenoweth ran pendleton's kick off ten yards out to his thirty-yard line and then got away for a seven teen-yard run to midfield before he was downed by wilson on the next play a couple of forward passes worked off by chenoweth to his ends having failed and yale having been penalized for interference with the lehigh catcher crichton hit the yale line for three yards but the brown and white men were caught holding on he play and lost fifteen yards on the penalty which follow ed the ball resting on the lehigh forty-six-yard line from this point another lehigh forward pass failed and then green kicked to wilson
