temporary seer eta r y — eooney capt of baseball — eobert saline capt of football e w smith capt of track — lavan capt of basketball — s.e muthart poster committee campbell chair man muthart kueh and wilson class yell lyons chairman ed wards bates and van ort con stitutional : quincy chairman street sanborn and ackerly ♦ ,—., — . w b wood 98 b w kinsey 07 and j heilnian 09 were recent visitors in the bethlehems the brown and white lehigh university south bethlehem pa friday october 1 1909 taylor hall freshman class vol xvii football a number of students from the technical departments of the uni versity accepted situations as teach ers at the close of the last school year the university received more requests for teachers in mathemat ical and scientific subjects than it was able to supply and it was faced with the difficulty of not knowing what men would be will ing to consider good teaching positions and had much difficulty in discovering the men whom it finally placed it is therefore suggested that all students avho would consider good teaching positions at the close of this year should give their names at once or as soon as possible to mr emery and it is also recom mended that such students meet dr hughes of the department of education with the view of ar ranging to take a course in the history of education and methods of teaching dr hughes will be in his office in christmas hall at 7.45 a m saturday october 2 and october 9 i notice brown and white subscrip tions if paid before november 1 , will be 1.50 otherwise 2.00 per year
