football lehigh 5 ; dickinson o lehigh defeated dickinson yes terday by the above score the weather was threatening and conse quently the crowd at the game was not very large the dickinson team was much heavier than the home eleven and during the first half lehigh did not put up the game that had been ex pected of her and neither side scored in the second half lehigh played with more snap and vigor and had possession of the ball the larger part of the time the visit ors backs played an excellent game while chamberlain denise and be cerra excelled for the varsity following is the game in detail : lehigh secured the ball on the toss and kicked to dickinson's 15 yard line it is returned to le high's 45-yard line gerhart takes the ball through guard and tackle for five yards and holderness be tween guard and centre wins three yards more on a double pass denise skirted the right end for a gain of fifteen yards and canfield wins ten yards more through guard and tackle and two yards more around right end holderness was shoved through centre for fifteen yards and gunsolus goes through tackle and guard but does not gain denise tumbled and dickinson gets the ball on their 15-yard line and kicks to her 30-yard line and can field secures the ball ; gunsolus makes three yards between guard and tackle ; gerhart fails to gain through the centre and on the third down james fails to gain the re maining two yards dickinson gets the ball fumbles but the right half takes the ball through guard and tackle for a yard lowther takes the ball but fails to gain on the next down he makes a run of thirty yards to lehigh's 20-yard line lowther goes between guard and tackle for two yards and again through guard and tackle for ten yards left half fumbles but dick inson retains the ball third down no gain lehigh's ball on her s yard line holderness goes between guard and tackle for ten yards gerhart chamberlain and holderness take it ten yards further and on le high's 25 yard line holderness kicks to the centre of the field to jones dickinson fumbled but kept the ball jones kicks to holderness who returns lowther gains three yards and dickin son being held for three downs lehigh secures the ball canfield gains six yards through guard and tackle and dickinson gets the ball for offside play lowther gains three yards through guard and tackle and duvall fails to gain through centre dickinson fum bles lehigh gets the ball lehigh fumbles ;
