football and soccer are to be voted upon threatens to become a reality this coming friday at 11 a m the meeting hinges upon the question of whether or not the board of control rati fies the six names three for football and three for soccer that are to be placed before them this week earlier in the season the foot ball letter men selected their choices for the position of foot ball assistant manager and the letter men in soccer meet this afternoon in the trophy room of the gymnasium to vote upon their selections these men will probably be presented before the student body at the college meeting and the order in which they poll the students vote will determine the position they re ceive by way of example : the man placing first in the student vote automatically becomes as sistant schedule in the former case coach wood's men had a better score against their opponents than had the lehigh cage five the best offensive work that is being done on the muhlenberg team is probably that of griggs the tall center he is quite an effective point scorer and will no doubt cause some trouble the defensive work of borelli and clymer has been an out standing feature in all their games while the five man defen sive system is said to have worked quite well in their games although a hard game is look ed forward to the lehigh team expects to come through with another victory the work pi the wyoming seminary bas ketball squad by the score of 29 o 21 the game was played at wyoming a fast game from otart to finish th«re was prac wically no individual starring on either side the frosh in par was full of interest to the last as the teams were well balanced the outcome was in doubt until the final whistle when wyoming had an eight point lead part of the freshman defeat was probably due to the fact that too many long shots at the basket were attempted during the game captain billmeyer and zerbe were badly crippled this was another unfortunate fea ture contributing to the frosh's defeat * •• it is certain that on saturday the frosh cagemen were not up to the standard of playing they set a week ago however much improvement may be expected after exams as the prsfctices from now on will
