b&w photo bt bill feldmen yesterday today and tomorrow ... the mustard and cheese production of inherit the wind features dave watson and steve mittman the play is featured as part of ifc rock and roll weekend concert and the play 2,500 con cert-play tickets have already been sold interfraternity council officers have asked that all persons attend ing the concert observe the grace hall no alcohol rule if the rule is not upheld there may not be an ipc concert next year ifc officers said ifc has instructed the pinker ton men who will be present to eject any violator and procure his i d card violators will then be brought before the ifc judiciary committee for disciplinary action on stage m&c play on tap ifc weekend interfraternity council's rock and roll weekend will get under way this evening with a presenta tion of inherit the wind by the mustard and cheese dramatics club the play will be presented iti broughal junior high school auditorium at 8 pm tonight and tomorrow night id cards are good for admission guest tickets cost 1 if the guest does not have a 2.50 comprehensive concert - play ticket the highlight of the weekend will be the rock and rool concert tomorrow afternoon in grace hall six groups — the drifters johnny and the holidays the thornton sisters the orlons the blue notes and the herbie thompson four — will perform the first three groups will liven up the first floor of the hall while the other three raise the roof from a stage on the upper floor each group will perform for three 20 minute periods beginning at 1:30 p.m on both floors there will be room to dance tickets for the concert will be available at the door tomorrow af ternoon for 2.50 each this ticket is good for admission to both the drown hall fire interrupts several evening classes several bethlehem fire vehicles arrived at drown hall about five minutes after the alarm was turned in equipment responding to moore's call included a hook and ladder from engine co no 2 and one engine from both engine co nos 1 and 2 as firemen prepared to leave the scene fire capt james coleman commended the professor for his quick effective action moore the captain later said did a very good job he did what was best under the circumstances the fire was out when i got there coleman added the officer pointed out that there are only two fire alarm boxes on the campus which are connected to the city's central alarm system one he said is outside the president's residence and the other on the upper campus coleman said the other alarm boxes are univer see fireman page 5 a burning coat several fire engines and a lot of smoke interrupted evening classes in drown hall tuesday night damage to the building termed minor by fire men was confined to a coatrack on the main floor and to the adjacent wall area prof carl moore of the accounting department was teaching an accounting 422 class when at i pproximately 8:30 one of his students noticed smoke coming from the hall upon entering the hall moore saw a coat on a nearby coatrack in flames he said he attempted to sound the alarm with the hall alarm box but found that it did not work instructing a student to use a fire extinguisher on the blaze moore went to drown hall's main office to call the campus police and the bethlehem fire department by the time moore returned the student had the fire under control b&w photo by jack laveson where is everybody — arcadia moved its meeting to richards lounge on wednesday but the only people who showed up were arcadians and a few frosh interested in t.v the frosh left when the meeting began wlrn will cover ncaa wrestling wlrn team at laramie spector is expected to handle the bulk of the broadcasting with gertler compiling statistics gathering back ground information and providing summaries of the matches the sophomore broadcasting team hopes to fly to laramie in time to join the epitome brown and white team at wednesday's press briefing in recent years wlrn has provided bul letins on the ncaa championships by posting match results on bulletin boards in the univer sity center not even oklahoma state per ennial favorites in the national championships is expected to provide coverage of the scope planned this year by wlrn of the six schools contacted so far by the radio station all except rutgers had an east ern champ in the contests at cornell last week arcadia goes to grassroots result apathy by 808 bachman the fourth meeting of arcadia xix was held wednesday in the lounge of richards house wednes day evening in an effort to en courage greater student participa tion but no increase in student interest was evident the few freshmen who did en ter the lounge came in to watch television and quickly left when they found out a meeting was in progress the principal topics discussed at the meeting included revision see arcadia page 7 by bill bonnell campus radio station wlrn announced tentative plans sunday for live coverage of the ncaa wrestling championships to be held next week in laramie wyoming the five-man wlrn executive board is ex pected to give final approval to the coverage at a meeting scheduled for this afternoon peter j gertler 67 acting special events director for the station said sunday that at least six other collegiate radio stations may receive the wlrn hold-by-hold coverage to the best of my knowledge no other eastern radio station has ever broadcast the nationals when they have been held this far west said gertler still attempting to contact perm state on sunday night gertler said radio stations at west point annapolis and the university of syracuse had been very interested in wlrn's initial feelers on providing coverage to these campuses a letter was sent by gertler to the syracuse publications board for their action he said that pitt and rutgers were also in terested in the idea and further communica tions with these schools was expected -
