eight years this point is again strengthened when the clubs re ceived a return engagement at york next season the lehigh organization being given prefer ence to the other six college clubs who made their appear ance in the above city this year the members of the club are lodking for a strong backing of the student body and assure every one that they will be well rewarded for their co-opera tion services of eminent pro ducer and actor panchita this year's offer ing of the mustard and cheese club will be produced under the personal direction of mr thom as collins of new york this selection was made last week when it was learned that the club's former coach mr william h lynn was engaged to play a leading role in mr battling butler which is now playing at the selwyn theatre in new york the mustard and cheese are unusually fortunate in securing the the services of mr collins as their coach he has devoted twenty years of his life to the professional stage in the capaci ty of stage director and has been affiliated with such man agements as charles frohman charles b dillingham klaw and erlanger and george led erer besides being well versed in the mechanical and producing sides of the stage mr collins has played comedy parts in sev eral broadway hits such suc cesses as the riviera girl so long letty la la lu cille the arcadians ma dam sherry oh look an gel face and others have en joyed mr collin's services mr collins arrival in bethle hem this week will mark the start of an intensive rehearsal period in preparation for the showing of panchita at the kurtz theatre on april 28 poor conditions of upper field and limited space prove to be serious handicaps the brown and white stick men have been materially ham pered by the weather and as a result are not in the best condi tion to start off their season on saturday against the strong team of the new york la crosse club in fact there is a possibility that the game will not be played because of the condi tion of the field which suffered under the heavy snow of a few days ago this also made it im possible for the team to have scrimmage and to date they have not teen able to work to gether the upper field has been shared with the baseball squad which has allowed only a limited space for the regulars however there has been a large squad reporting and they have shown a great amount of inter est in the sport with which coach o'neill is connected the unfavorable spring weather is also unfortunate as the team should get in a little more prac tice before they meet the rut gers stickmen from new bruns wick a game which is extremely important brown and white new alumni building bethlehem pa friday april 4 1924 calendar friday • 6.30 p m j dinner and meeting of the lohigh j ii and lafayette chapters of phi ■• beta 28 poor conditions of upper field and limited space prove to be serious handicaps the brown and white stick men have been materially ham pered by the weather and as a result are not in the best condi tion to start off their season on saturday against the strong team of the new york la crosse club in fact there is a possibility that the game will not be played because of the condi tion of the field which suffered under the heavy snow of a few days ago this also made it im possible for the team to have scrimmage and to date they have not teen able to work to gether the upper field has been shared with the baseball squad which has allowed only a limited space for the regulars however there has been a large squad reporting and they have shown a great amount of inter est in the sport with which coach o'neill is connected the unfavorable spring weather is also unfortunate as the team should get in a little more prac tice before they meet the rut gers stickmen from new bruns wick a game which is extremely important brown and white new alumni building bethlehem pa friday april 4 1924 calendar friday • 6.30 p m j dinner and meeting of the lohigh j ii and lafayette chapters of phi ■• beta
