the crowning of this year's fall houseparty queen will be the highlight of the nov 3 dance to be held in grace hall from 9 to 1 will hamp chairman of the queen committee announced that all living groups must submit pic tures of their candidates for the contest to box 67 university post office by oct 26 the girl's name and the living group she repre sents must accompany all pictures hamp added that all pictures will be returned campus chest drive officials will attempt to collect 5,000 this week seeking a minimum 2 contribution from each student the cam paign began yesterday and will continue through next monday thomas power 62 a participant in the crossroads africa program last summer will present two speeches on behalf of the campaign this week presenting a resume of the objectives of the program and his ac tivities last summer power will speak at delta tau delta tonight at 7:30 p.m and at drinker house thursday at 7:30 p.m david vastine 62 was named chairman of the drive by arcadia last week after the resignation of michael vianello 62 living group presidents will solicit contributions for the campaign this week the ten living groups with the highest per capita contribution will receive top priority ticket allotments for the lehigh-lafayette fooball game next month proceeds of the campaign will be distributed among numerous local and national charitable organizations the world university service a non political organization which supports needy students in foreign nations with scholarships food clothing and medical aid will receive 30 per cent of the donations the campus chest scholarship fund will also receive 30 per cent to provide assistance to needy foreign students here and for support of participants in the crossroads africa fifteen per cent of the campaign funds will be given to the united negro students which seeks to provide educational opportunities for negro students ? the bethlehem community chest and red cross will receive 15 per cent to support local wel fare activities the remaining 10 per cent will be distributed among such national organizations as cancer fund march of dimes heart fund and mental health ?
