rogers vice president kenneth smith and john talucci in a spirited race for the class of 61 presidency incumbent junior class secretary charles hodge is unopposed vying for the 61 treasurer slot are the incumbent robert pater noster and richard shulman in a close race tor the junior class presidency incumbent jon krupnick is opposed by vice president peter gratto secre tary james detrixhe treasurer russel borner stuart burns jose celis jon greene and richard legrand with no incumbents among the 62 secretary and treasurer candi dates wide-open races are expect ed for these offices robert downing henry grabow ski charles moore david nichols william parnell guenther richters daniel sagarin and warren shank are competing for the junior class secretary position in the running for 62 treas urer are thomas brunt thomas coursen charles frankel rob ert happ and james morgan freshman president gordon hoare in an attempt to retain his office for a second year is in com petition with thomas bayer wil liam crowell john dickey richard see reorganized page 4 a 20 per cent reduction in the hours required in the advance mili tary science was approved by the faculty at its meeting yesterday the reduction first announced by the department of the army earlier this year was also ac companied by a revision in the course content for the fresh fraternity fined 50 for rushing violation one fraternity has been fined 50 for violation of alcohol regulations during rushing president john mc garry announced at last night's interfraternity council meeting al though freshmen were and psy chology courses and the politi cal development and political institution area covering cour ses in economics sociology education journalism finance history government 18 and philosophy the course will replace three credit hours of military science previously taken each year the remaining advance military science courses will be broken into two hours per week of classroom work one was recently ap pointed andrew mellon professor of philosophy and chairman of the program in the philosophy of sci ence a member of the lehigh faculty since 1950 he served one year as an instructor in
