has co-operated with the com mittee almost to a man and as things look now the class book will be ready to go to press by january ist however there are still quite a good many bal lots and assessments that have not been turned in to the com mittee the class ballots absol utely must be in the hands of the committee before the christmas vacation period if you have not turned in your bal lot before this get it into the committee before you go home as otherwise your name may not be included in the class book dummy which will be made up over the vacation the 14.00 assessment on all men in the senior class who are going in to the 1925 epi tome must also be paid before tomorrow night those who are unable to pay the amount at this time be sure to get in com munication with edgar t ad ams the chairman of the seni or class book committee at the chi psi lodge and make the necessary arrangements with him for a later settlement the senior class book committee can not see its way clear to in clude the name of anyone in the class book who has hot either paid the assessment or made ar rangements to pay it in the near future the failure of any body to pay the required amount would either cause the commit tee to go in the hole financial ly or else cause the committee to cut down on its space in the epitome remember the individual pho tos of each of the seniors who are going in the epitome must be in the hands of the commit tee by january 15th keep this matter in mind and either make arrangements with bill mc caa or some other reliable pho tographer to have photographs taken immediately on return from the christmas vacation very few snapshots have been turned in to the committee so far this is an all important matter as the success or failure of the senior class book rests practically entirely on the groups of snapshots which are incorporated in the senior sec tion keep your eyes open for interesting snaps and turn them in to the committee it is each senior's duty tuesday january 8 doe to the christmas holiday s the lafayette soccer team was defeated 5 goals to 1 by the brown and white booters in their annual game on the upper field last saturday afternoon this is the third straight victory for coach carpenter's men and proved that in one sport at least lehigh was superior to her anci ent foe from down the river it was the best game that has ever been seen here since the introduction of soccer to le high's athletic activities the crowd numbered around a thou sand and gave the team good support even though the cold weather kept the band out of action the passing of the for ward line was at the height of perfection every man playing his position well especially those on the outside of the for ward line the weather condi tions were perfect but the scene of the contest was coated with a deep layer of mud and that made the footing decidedly treacherous although the con test was bitterly waged it was not without its humorous as pects since each attempted change of direction by the play ers resulted in the skidding or spilling of one or more contest ants on the slippery earth teams evenly matched on thursday evening alberto salvi considered by many crit ics as the premier harpist of the world played for the second time before a bethjehpm audi ence in the south sido junior high school the concert was throughout the greater part of the game the teams appear ed to be evenly matched the half-time score was a 1-1 tie and this deadlock continued for 25 minutes in the second half when jlehigh university y m c a | unfortunately this splendid con cert was enjoyed by a small au dience due to inclement weath the lafayette defense was pene trated and lehigh took the lead before the backs of the visiting team could become organized for the lehigh attack which in creased in strength as it hit a winning stride the brown and white tallied once more al though only a few more minutes of play remained the maroon forces were routed and johns hop kins vice president c p col lins cornell secretary-treasur er b c barber harvard mem bers of the executive committee albert n baker swarthmore and william m walther ijehigh the senior class book is com ing along fine the senior class has co-operated with the com mittee almost to a man and as things look now the class book will be ready to go to press by january ist however there are still quite a good many bal lots and assessments that have not been turned in to the com mittee the class ballots absol utely must be in the hands of the committee before the christmas vacation period if you have not turned in your bal lot before this get it into the committee before you go home as otherwise your name may not be included in the class book dummy which will be made up over the vacation the 14.00 assessment on all men in the senior class who are going in to the 1925 epi tome must also be paid before tomorrow night those who are unable to pay the amount at this time be sure to get in com munication with edgar t ad ams the chairman of the seni or class book committee at the chi psi lodge and make the necessary arrangements with him for a later settlement the senior class book committee can not see its way clear to in clude the name of anyone in the class book who has hot either paid the assessment or made ar rangements to pay it in the near future the failure of any body to pay the required amount would either cause the commit tee to go in the hole financial ly or else cause the committee to cut down on its space in the epitome remember the individual pho tos of each of the seniors who are going in the epitome must be in the hands of the commit tee by january 15th keep this matter in mind and either make arrangements with bill mc caa or some other reliable pho tographer to have photographs taken immediately on return from the christmas vacation very few snapshots have been turned in to the committee so far this is an all important matter as the success or failure of the senior class book rests practically entirely on the groups of snapshots which are incorporated in the senior sec tion keep your eyes open for interesting snaps and turn them in to the committee it is each senior's duty to turn in at least one snapshot for the senior sec tion of the epitome all sophomores in the business competition of the epitome will turn in their adds to kingham at the alpha chi rho house by tomorrow . in an interclass swimming meet held in taylor pool last saturday the juniors captured the title with forty points the freshmen were second with 19 on the upper field last saturday afternoon this is the third straight victory for coach carpenter's men and proved that in one sport at least lehigh was superior to her anci ent foe from down the river it was the best game that has ever been seen here since the introduction of soccer to le high's athletic activities the crowd numbered around a thou sand and gave the team good support even though the cold weather kept the band out of action the passing of the for ward line was at the height of perfection every man playing his position well especially those on the outside of the for ward line the weather condi tions were perfect but the scene of the contest was coated with a deep layer of mud and that made the footing decidedly treacherous although the con test was bitterly waged it was not without its humorous as pects since each attempted change of direction by the play ers resulted in the skidding or spilling of one or more contest ants on the slippery earth teams evenly matched on thursday evening alberto salvi considered by many crit ics as the premier harpist of the world played for the second time before a bethjehpm audi ence in the south sido junior high school
