complicated methods of dealing with the spotted wildcats such as dunking in pots flying in satellites and burial along with other unhappy schools the lighted and mechanized displays will be judged this eve ning by a committee composed of faculty members and their wives the displays cost no more than 25 and will be graded on ingenuity mechanical opera tions and relation of theme to the subject presented displays will be completed by 4 p.m and may be seen after that time for the benefit of those who wish to tour the fraternity artwork here is a list of fraternities and their displays on begins officially in spirit it began weeks ago the traditional beat lafayette displays in the process of construc tion all week will be judged in just a few hours lehigh now becomes a mecca for people of all sizes and shapes eagerly anticipating the big game old grads guests and nondescript others look benevolently on lehigh as the school with the team cocktail parties have been planned right and left and many many people will have that warm medicinal glow to insure protection from bethlehem's wintry blasts in addition a smaller number of less hardy souls will probably carry a flask of juice or coffee or some other non-alcoholic liquid for stimu lation not even the weather man can dampen this game tickets for the game are scarcer than dinosaurs in fact it's been rumored that the ducats are in such demand that scalpers are charging 10 per tonight freshmen let off the steam stored up guarding the bonfire vulnerable as the bon fire may be recent freshman classes have stopped visitors from starting the fire last year lafayette men worked see lafayette page 4 by bob grinchuk the big game is here the lehigh engineers and the lafayette leopards clash to morrow at 1:30 for the 93rd time on the taylor stadium gridiron a crowd of close to 18,000 people will jam taylor stadium to witness the annual spectacle tickets have been sold out since tuesday afternoon and students frojpi both schools are hunting up tickets for themselves because of the limited supply coach leckonby's packers want this game for more than traditional reasons a sound whipping of lafayette might net lehigh the lambert cup which williams holds title to as of now a lehigh win would give leckonby's eleven the middle three championship for the second year in a row and possession of the little brass cannon six starting seniors will play the last game of their collegiate careers and will try to obtain an 8-1 record — the best since the undefeated team in 1950 this week's practice has been held down by bad weather but leckonby states that the team as a whole is in top condition this year's team consists of well seasoned veterans who are confident without being cocky last years squad pulled out a 27-10 victory because they were fired up to the point where victory seemed inevitable this season the confidence has been built around the winning of six con secutive games this year's team is more versatile in almost every phase the line boasts an average weight of 205 pounds the offense built around the veteran dan nolan boasts more yard age than last season's squad co-captains dan nolan
