lehigh campus girls began arriving on the scene friday morning anxious to begin the weekend fun many were in attendance at classes with their dates and no doubt picked up some valuable knowl edge throughout the afternoon's proceedings free at that at fiveish cocktail parties started and ran until dinner time follow ing the evening meal some of the fellows and their dates took in the m&c comedy the tavern other couples used this time to relax and prepare for the formal at 10 drink er richards and taylor residence halls held their cocktail parties from i 7 to 9 j ten p.m found the gals dressed to kill leaving their weekend homes to attend the dance with their smartly dressed escorts les elgart and the rhythm aires were the attraction at grace hall and both prcoeeded to live up to their advance no tices especially elgart his ag gregation performed for the 814 couples present in a smooth easy and mellow manner and played many lively tunes up stairs the rhythmaires did their see bevan's page 6 jack humes 57 see cut told the brown and white wednesday night that about 2 a.m last sunday he was attacked and beaten by a group of six men who ap eared to him to be jenkins tremper
