tonight at 8 o'clock in broughal jr high school mustard and cheese will tour the south pacific on ak6oi as they stage the famous war play mister roberts thoburn v barker technical director of the club and his stage crew have developed an extremely realistic set complete with life raft and ack-ack guns donald r smith and his light crew austin murphy mort shapiro and bob magnus have worked out the very difficult task of handling over 100 light cues while john wagner property manager has had his headaches collecting the over 400 props and live stock steve miller stage manager and his staff have made a great effort to transform the broughal high school stage into the setting required ken verostick who plays mister roberts ed rand ensign pulver doc played by dick grant and dick corney as the captain are all ready for their task of interpret ing these main roles the fightingest navy crew ever to be assembled on one stage headed by bob silverton and joe moser are rarin to go the saturday night performance has an early curtain at 7:30 sharp for the ifc guests this is the second year that mustard and cheese has offered a play as part of the enter tainment of the monte carlo dance weekend preparing for tonight's performance of mister roberts are from left to right joseph moser 55 david tennant 55 colin hershey 57 ted gorman 57 robert silverton 55 and gil moskowitz 56 the show will start at 8 tonight and 7:30 tomorrow a total of 432 pints of blood were donated during the past two days as lehigh's 1954 blood drive went off very well with the boys being re ported to be in better health this year than in previous years many pints were lost from juniors who had pledged but were turn ed away because they had received injections from the rotc units on monday after a consultation last weekend between red cross officials and dr carl o keck of the health service it was decided to allow the rotc juniors to take their shots on mon day however when the head red cross doctor a woman arrived wednesday she ruled that the stu dents in question could not give blood for a week and therefore turned them away collected from the lehigh family on the first day of blood donating were 193 pints of blood in addition 37 boys were rejected for various reasons — 20 were rotc juniors — making a total of 230 who offered blood twenty of the 230 had no ap pointment but just walked in to do nate alpha phi omega service frater nity helped set up the apparatus for the two bloodmobiles dick glassberg 55 supervised the drive are crest's exotic plants guests in fraternity row
