george o'brien tom gloede marty maurer and howie schaeffer final plans for the lafayette pep-rally were made at last wed nesday's meeting of cyanide and barring mishap the big doings will commence at 7:30 tonight in grace hall exactly as planned james cutler 54 announced john arnesen 53 president of arcadia will be the first master of ceremonies followed by edwin scheetz 54 president of cyanide speakers will be william b leck onby head football coach michael cooley assistant football coach and william sheridan assistant di rector of athletics the finalists in the freshman skit contest have been named by a committee of judges and according to frank young 54 cyanide com mittee head are well worth the at tention of pep-rally goers dorm sections included in the finals are drinker 2 a and 2b dravo c 2 and d 2 tempo ii and richards 48 judging the elimina tions were capt p b walters in strutcor of rotc dr e c bratt professor of economics dr r l armstrong associate professor of english dr w a aiken profes sor of history associate prof j v eppes mechanical engineering and dr f j fornoff associate professor of chemistry trophies will be awarded to night to sections copping first and second continuous gridiron rivalry in the nation unfolds tomorrow after noon when lehigh's football team boasting the east's top defense along with a steady split-t run ning attack and good passing meets victory-starved lafayette at fisher field easton comparative scores season records and predictions all point to a lehigh victory as the leop ards who for the first time ap proach the lehigh game without a win and have dropped 12 straight over two years are at their lowest ebb in their 71 year football his tory lehigh meanwhile with an up-and-down season needs only a victory tomorrow to put them over the 500 mark for the first time this fall giving the engineers a 5-4 record and their fifth straight win ning campaign a lehigh win would also help square the series and would mark the first time the brown and white has topped the maroon three years in a row since the 1934-35-36 sea sons lafayette still holds a big edge in the rivalry which started in 1884 winning 55 losing 29 and tying three but lehigh has come back strong in the last two years with 38-0 and 32-0 romps however in an old and color ful series like this upsets can nev er be ruled out lehigh coach bill leckonby well annual fraternity lafayette display contest from roulette wheels to statues the decrepit leopard will be subjected to its customary ignominious treatment by its superiors from lehigh judging for the
