LEHIGHLIGHTS PERSONNEL ROUNDUP — With another season of sports just around the corner, there will be some new faces on the sidelines while some familiar faces will have departed. On llic football scene. Dave Clawson (as reported in the last issue) and Tommy Groom (see story on page 2) join Ihc staff as assistants to Hank Small while John Bonamego has left for Army and Rudy Hughes is off lo Morgan Stale University. The men's basketball team will have a new assistant coach in Monte Ross (see story on page 2) as he joins Dave Duke. Al Keglovils and Rick Coslcllo. The field hockey and women's lacrosse teams will have a new graduate assistant coach in Nicole Houghton . who replaces Kris Eidc. On llic swimming from graduate assistant Dave Knoul't joins head coach Chris. Marshall and assistants Maggie Land and Rick Hutchinson. The women's tennis team has ii new assistant coach as Joanne Och.sc will join head coach Dave Shook. WRESTLING GUIDE HONORED -- Lehigh University's, 56-page 1992-93 wrestling media guide has been judged second-best in the nation by the College Spoils Information Directors of America. Wriuen by Lehigh spoils information" director Glenn Hofmann and designed by assistant Erin Davison. Ihe publication finished second on ly lo Clemson University. This marks the second consecutive year that ihe Leliigli wrest I ing media guide was judged second-best in ihc nation. DAILEY WORKS UNIVERSITY GAMES — Lehigh assistant trainer Brenda Dailey served as a trainer at the World University (James in Buffalo. N.Y. from July 8th through July 18lh. Dailey was Ihe head trainer for men's and women's gymnastics and also worked wilh tennis players and swimmers. She worked al the venues for gymnastics and was involved with athletes from both the United Stales and foreign countries. While (here, she also ran the Niagara Fails Convention Center. The'games featured several athletes who participated at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona. Spain. Forfans the scrimmage offers a first chance to get a peek at a pair of re v a m p e d teams, which both underwent s i g iri fie a n t changes in an unusually active o f I" - s e a s o n fueled by the onset of the free agent market. For the Redskins, these r i m m a g e marks their first contest under the direction of first-year head coach Richie Petitbon. who was Joe Gibbs" receiver Al Toon who retired last season due to health concerns. Instead Esaison will rely on wily veteran Chris Burkett and Plan B pickup Rob Moore to ignite the Jets' air attack.
