This gave Lehigh a 30-9 half- time margin and Whitehead was able to clear his bench following a third stanza in which the Engineers added 14 more markers to complete the scoring. It was Lehigh's most productive scoring effort since late in the 1977 Div. II NCAA title- winning season when the Engineers racked up a 47-0 margin over Gettysburg. The winners spread the wealth in their touchdown distribution. Only one player, fullback Bob Romeo of New Providence, N.J., tallied twice and he did it with 3- yard and 2-yard pickups into the end zone.
