Weisenfluh won the Sheridan Trophy for the most falls and the Most Outstanding Wrestler award. Frick took the Fletcher Trophy. Lehigh dominated the EIWA wrestling tournament for the second straight year last weekend, crowning five individual champions while finishing far ahead of the 15-team field. The Engineers, who clinched another team crown during the Saturday afternoon semi-finals, piled up 152V2 points. Navy and Syracuse tied for second with K7OV2 points apiece. They both dropped out of contention in the semi-finals, however, and the only matters of interest Saturday night were how many individual titles Lehigh would claim and who would win the Most Outstanding Wrestler, Sheridan and Fletcher awards. The 3,200 fans packed into Mayser Gymnasium at F. & M., How They Placed In EIWA Test FIRST THREE IN EACH WEIGHT CLASS QUALIFY FOR NCAA TOURNAMENT AT TUCSON, ARIZ. CHAMPION RUNNERUP THIRD FOURTH FIFTH SIXTH in Lancaster, for the finals got the answers to their questions during a title round in which only five bouts went the route. Lehigh had five champions (Bob Sloand at 126, Mike Frick at 134, Tihamer Toht-Fejel at 142, Mike Lieberman at 177 and Don McCorkel at heavyweight). Jim Weisenfluh, star 167- pounder from Wilkes, pinned four opponents in four bouts to win the Most Outstanding Wrestler and Sheridan awards. The Sheridan trophy goes to the man with the most falls, excepting consolation bouts. Frick took the Fletcher award which goes to the man accumulating the most career points for his team in EIWA tournaments. With three titles, a second place finish and numerous fall and advancement points, the Lehigh ace had 75V4 points. Along with Sloand, Frick, Toth- Fejel, Lieberman, McCorkel and Weisenfluh, individual titles also went to Mark Costello (118) of Navy, Ken Wilson (150) and John Janiak (158) of Syracuse, and Neal Brendel (190) of Yale.
