The 1888 squad had a 10-2 log. Defenders Grab Six Turnovers Several weeks ago, speaking before a group of area newspapermen at a midseason luncheon, Fred Dunlap called his Lehigh team "the best" he's had since becoming head coach of the Engineers in 1965. Ever since that time his players have been making the evaluation look like an understatement. Saturday they steamrollered high-flying Colgate before a capacity Upperclassman Parents Day turnout of 15,000 in Taylor Stadium, 38-6, for their sixth straight victory and the 12th in the last 13 appearances counting the final five of 1974. LEHIGH'S BIG-D defense, which enjoyed a super afternoon against Colgate, stacks up Red Raider tight end Scott Hindman after he caught a short pass over the line. John Gift (58) and Jerry Mullane (57) make the stop as Stan Fendryk (62) and Pete Fenton (18) come over to help.
