wired to the World Sports to be heard world-wide via Internet The Lehigh University "Engineers" football team is one ofthe first sports teams in history to have its games broadcast to the world via the Internet. Taylor Subscription Talk™ (TST) of Tulsa will add the Engineers' football broadcasts and the pregame show with Coach Kevin Higgins to its Audio-On-Demand Radio Internet service beginning with Lehigh's season opener against Army on Sat., Sept. 9. TST will also carry Lehigh basketball games this winter. "Lehigh fans outside our local television and radio coverage area can now follow the Engineers," said Joe Sterrett, Lehigh athletic director. "Lehigh sports will be there for anyone to access 24 hours a day, seven days a week, anywhere in the world." Hang Tags The parking services office has begun issuing a new type of parking permit for faculty and staff this year, which is designed to hang from your car's rear view mirror, rather than adhere to the rear bumper. Most faculty and staff can expect to receive requests to re-register their cars in November or December. The rear bumper permits will continue to be valid until the process is complete. The most important difference in the new system is that hang tags will be issued to people rather than vehicles. People who typically drive the same car to campus each day will see little difference in the new system. When the need arises to use a different car, however, the tag can be switched. Alumni of the house helped raise funds to complete renovations to repair damages that totalled about $500,000. Smoke detectors alerted brothers to the fire that quickly gutted the second and third floors of the turn of the century'mansion built by Elisha Wilbur, who ran the fiscal dealings of his uncle, university founder Asa Packer.
