One of the top Soviet scientists, Ruban specializes in very fundamental problems in fluid mechanics. Because his research is of special interest to United Technologies, the company selected Ruban for a fellowship, which is funding much of his work at LEHIGH Snapshots Lehigh Facts you might not know Lehigh. Prospective minority students get a close look at Lehigh Lehigh hosted 70 prospective students and their parents for Minority Candidates Weekend Feb. 29-March 2. Students attended a luncheon with Peter Likins, panel discussions, workshops and the Unity Dinner, which featured speaker Benjamin Hooks, executive director of the NAACP. Prospective students stayed on campus with current minority Lehigh students and attended classes on Monday morning. A large group of parents also attended events on Saturday. "This group of prospective students was simply fantastic," noted Sharon Brown, assistant dean of student life. "This is the largest participation we have had since we started this program."
